All I can say is this: I love the theater!! The smell of popcorn, the anticipation and wondering if the movie will be good or bad, and who's gonna do what!! And then it starts!! Never mind the genre, (although I have to admit, the better the music, the more I love the movie), if it's well made, heck, if I like a certain character in a terrible movie, it was well worth it to me.
I've had people tell me that the theater is a bad place to go on a first date because you don't have any interaction with your date. I disagree. If me and my date go to the movies (and this is almost always the case, at the very least, we can discuss what we like and disliked about it afterward. So you see, it's actually a great icebreaker, as opposed to going to a bar and having to figure out what the heck to talk about. Incidentally, I'm not a shy person anyway, so I could do that just as easily. Five of my favorite movies: Moulin Rouge, Glory, What Dreams May Come, The Lion King (heck yeah), and Transformers.
