What movies did you see this summer? What movies did you miss? What lived up to your expectations? What didn't? What was better than you expected it to be?
Personally, I only got to see a bare handful. I missed far too many. I did see MI-3, X3, Pirates of the Carribean 2, and Superman Returns. MI3 and X3 both exceeded my expectations. Pirates and Superman were both a little disappointing, though I enjoyed both immensely. They just weren't up to what I hoped for. No real disappointments as in "bad". I think the one film I wanted to see the most that I missed was Clerks 2. I am a huge Kevin Smith fan, but seem to miss almost every one of his movies in the theater. Most of the others I missed were smaller films, like Snakes On A Plane, The Descent, and Zoom. Lady In The Water , My Super Ex-Girlfriend, The Da Vince Code, The Omen, and Poseiden were the bigger films I missed. I have seen Poseiden on DVD now and was kind of glad I didn't pay to see it in the theater. Not a bad movie, per se, but nothing to shout about. Much better than the recent TV version, though.
