Has anyone here ever walked out on a movie?
I've only done it once. The movie was 'The Bonfire of the Vanities'.
I loved the book, but I couldn't stand the film.
And I almost had to walk out on The Blair Witch Project, although it wasn't because I didn't like it.
The handheld camera approach to filiming it was literally making me sick. By the end of the movie, I really felt horrible. |

I am too stubborn to walk out of a movie after I spent the money to get it. But, I wanted to walk out of House of the Dead. That movie was so bad that I walked out with my jaw hurting because I had clenched my teeth so hard to keep from screaming at the screen.

I left the Movie Fear and Loething in Las Vegas. Not because I didn't like it, but because my Date could'nt stand it anymore. She said the Movie was Bizzar, It was hot, it smelled in the theater... Not that I was a Bad Date uuum .. seriously ... anyway, I rented the Movie when it came out, and I thought it was alright.

Fear and Loathing is definitelya movie you have to be in the right mood for. It won't appeal to everyone. Heck, it won't appeal to most but it does have it's niche market.

`For those who think Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas was bad (and can
SPELL loathing), and since many might be too young to remember,
check out Where the Buffalo Roam (1980) where Bill MURRAY plays
Hunter Thompson, years before Johnny Depp was out of his teens ...

`A nominee for all-time stinker
("I am too stubborn to walk out of a movie after I spent the
money to get in" - HEAR, HEAR!!! - but we did it anyway for
Suppose They Gave a War and Nobody Came - which is astonishing in
light of its cast - which included Brian Keith, Tony Curtis, Ernest Borgnine,
Ivan Dixon, Suzanne Pleshette, Bradford Dillman, and Don Ameche).
Other nominees:
Modesty Blaise (I wanted to sit, but my dad insisted we were going home)
And ANOTHER with an amazing cast which included
William Devane, Kathy Lee Crosby, Keenan Wynn, and Richard Jaekel -
The Dark, which was SO bad I knew and told my then wife
DURING THE CREDITS, and it never got any better. It actually had
William Devane take out a full-page ad asking patrons NOT to go see it,
as I saw him tell Johnny Carson some months later.
He did mention the director was changed AFTER he signed ...
